This summer cames with a new anime: Tejina-senpai (or Magical Senpai). A simple sight you can think that’s another anime with ecchi tematic, but, no.

Technically, there’s ecchi in this show, but it’s not it’s strong point. This fanservice does not distract the public from comedy situations and others feelings about the main characters, and that is a very good presentation.

The format of this animation come with some mini episodes into 12 minutes of an entire chapter.

Warning: there are possibility of spoilers here. If you are not seen any chapter and want to keep the surprise, you can walk away from this post ;)

Plot and some spoiler

The show introduce us to Tejina (called just that), a high school girl who likes magician tricks and pretends to create a school club dedicated to magic. The problem with her is that her tricks executes very well when she’s alone.

This changes when Assistant (called just that too), enters to find a club who let him stay out of school earlier to get his house and play videogames.

If you have seen how school clubs in Japan works (at least in anime conception), for create one it needs some number of members and define the objetives of the club. Tejina suffers scenic panic and she cannot stands without puke or stay calm if somebody see her doing the tricks.

Other thing happens with Tejina: she’s very alone. She have not friend because her love for magic. Even her elder sister reveals that she is very appasionated about magic tricks. In the episode 4, when Assistant left the non-official magic club in order to join into a official school club by obligation, we can see how sad is Tejina, and see sheself recognice her lonelyness. In few seconds, this comedy show us more than laughs and fanservice.

Like i said, that is for few seconds, because Assistant returns with Tejina (for her surprise) saying he’s joined at chemistry club, but only using his name for the list. He will spend the time visiting her until she gets graduated from high school.

For now, 4 episodes has been emited, but this anime has more for showing us, and that’s a good news. You can see this anime every tuesday.
